📊Tokenomics
One of the most important allocations in the hoot tokenomics are the learn & earn rewards. This is not only due to it being the largest allocation (20%) but also because of the fact that the allocation has a higher degree of flexibility as it distributes tokens to users on the Owler platform over time. The following table breaks down the reward mechanisms that stipulate how hoot tokens are rewarded based on two critical measurements, monthly active users and monthly active courses on the Owler platform. In order for each of the montly learn & earn reward allocations to be fully distributed the platform needs to meet or exceed these targets. The importance of this can not be understated in order for the reward distribution to have long-term sustainability. Each monthly learn & earn reward allocation consists of 4 166 667 hoot tokens. This allocation is then broken down into a 50/50 split between the two target goals which will determine how many hoot tokens are distributed on a monthly basis. The excess learn & earn rewards which are not distributed from a monthly allocation will be handled in the following way:
70% vested with a 48 month cliff and 100% unlock. Essentially, a new learn & earn reward allocation is vested in the back of the queue which resupplies the learn & earn reward pool.
15% is sent to the growth fund. The growth fund is primarily used to incentivize growth through user acquisitions, partnerships or other activities which aim to grow the Owler platform.
15% is burnt. This means that this entire amount is sent to a burn address and these hoot tokens are consequently taken out of circulation for all eternity, thus creating a long term deflationary effect on the circulating supply of hoot tokens that is parallell with the platform growth and performance.
This mechanism will in the long run ensure that the learn & earn rewards distributed are sustainable and proportionally distributed in accordance with the overall growth and activity on the Owler platform.
